The Group announced today the inclusion of sustainable pearl jewellery in the ViaTalenta Collections. Pearls and their oysters are emerging as one of the most sustainable products in ocean-based economies. There is a unique synergy between pearl quality, ocean health and conservation. Moreover, pearl farming offers economic development opportunities to remote communities.  Through Collections, the Foundation can expand its programmes, commitment and impact in Myanmar and Southeast Asia.

The Executive Committee of the ViaTalenta Foundation announced today its four focus areas for 2019-2025. The four areas will be the development of sustainable products through ViaTalenta Collections; engaging youth in Sports, Health Care and Wellness; cultivating talents through Education and Outreach; and providing access to art through ImpactArt. Over this six-year period, the Foundation will focus its efforts on protecting and enhancing the human condition with innovative and inclusive programmes and collaborations with key partners, who share a sustainability mind-set.

We will continue to expand our work with existing partners and to identify new initiatives and collaborators who share our commitment to climate mitigation through talent, economic and social development.”

The Family Council announced today the establishment of ViaTalenta Foundation, a Swiss foundation with domicile in Zug, Switzerland.  The Foundation will be the home of our humanitarian and philanthropic projects and engagements, specifically those related to the arts, education, sports and climate change. It will also serve as the collaboration hub between the family’s engagements and supra-national institutions, NGOs, other foundations and partners. All existing philanthropic and humanitarian programmes will be managed by the Foundation going forward.

 “As we expand our sustainability focused philanthropic activities, it was natural for the family to create a dedicated entity to house them.  We believe that the Foundation will not only increase our impact reach but allow us to work more closely with the not-for-profit sector both in Switzerland and abroad”.

Members of the Executive Committee of ViaTalenta Foundation and the family office attended this past Saturday 23rd November the annual “Bal de la Fondation Champittet”. This year, the fundraising efforts were in favour of the “Association Sportive Fair Play”. This association focuses on developing sports programmes for people with disabilities across all ages and capability levels.

“As a society it is important to ensure that all members feel included. Sports are a unique tool to achieve this. They provide opportunities to interact with others, strengthen one’s self-esteem, and facilitate acceptance and integration. We were impressed with the important work the Association Sportive Fair Play is doing and would like to thank the Fondation Champittet’s team for hosting us one more year.”
